In this lesson you will learn Russian colors, personal pronouns and how to say that you possess something in Russian.

Basic colors in Russian:

Red - красный
Navy Blue - синий
Blue - голубой
Green - зелёный
White - белый
Yellow - жёлтый
Orange - оранжевый
Grey - серый
Pink - розовый
Brown - коричневый
Purple - фиолетовый
Black - чёрный

Additional colors:

Bright green -салатный
Crimson - Малиновый
Gold -Золотой
Khaki- Хаки
Silver - Серебряный
Copper - Медный

Different shades:

Light - светлый
Dark - тёмный
Bright - яркий
Dim - тусклый
Too - слишком

Examples:

Dark-blue Тёмно-синий
Dark-red Темно-красный
Light-blue Светло-синий (голубой)
Light-green Светло-зелёный
The sun is too bright. - Солнце слишком яркое.

To say you have something you use the following constructions :

I have = У меня есть
We have = У нас есть
You have = У тебя есть or У вас есть (informal/singular or formal/plural)
He/It has = У него есть
She has = У неё есть
They have = У них есть

Questions in Russian are formed by change of intonation not the structure:

You have a car - Do you have a car?

У вас есть машина - У вас есть машина?

Which color is your car? Какого цвета у вас машина?

What kind of car you have? Какая у вас машина?

I have a red car - У меня (есть) красная машина

I have a blue bicycle - У меня (есть) синий велосипед

She has a green umbrella - У неё (есть) зеленый зонт

We have a white dog - У нас (есть) белая собака

He has a yellow book -У него (есть) жёлтая книга

She has a black phone - У неё (есть) чёрный телефон

You have an orange tie - У вас оранжевый галстук

He has a grey suit- У него серый костюм

She has a pink dress-У неё розовое платье

Do you have brown sugar? - У вас есть коричневый сахар?

You have a purple flower! - У вас фиолетовый цветок!

They have a light room - У них светлая комната

Do you have dark beer (porter)? - У вас есть темное пиво?
